Performance
Excellent — the ADL reference distribution
Memory usage
Base ~120, with XFCE ~600 MB (typical, on the reference setup)
Advantages
- Largest package ecosystem via apt
- Most documentation and community help
- Everything in the ADL guides is tested on it
Disadvantages
- Larger base install than Alpine
- Some server-oriented defaults
Known issues
- snapd does not work under proot — use apt or standalone builds
Install any distribution with proot-distro; the ADL guides assume Ubuntu.
