proot-distro install alpine

Fastest and smallest by far
Memory usage
Base ~30, with XFCE ~400 MB (typical, on the reference setup)
Advantages
- Tiny footprint
- Great for low-storage devices
Disadvantages
- musl libc breaks some prebuilt binaries
- apk ecosystem smaller than apt
Known issues
- glibc-only apps (e.g. VS Code) need workarounds or won't run
Install any distribution with proot-distro; the ADL guides assume Ubuntu.
