Performance
Excellent — marginally leaner than Ubuntu
Memory usage
Base ~100, with XFCE ~550 MB (typical, on the reference setup)
Advantages
- Very stable
- Slightly lighter than Ubuntu
- Same apt workflow as the guides
Disadvantages
- Older package versions on stable
Known issues
- Backports may be needed for newer apps
Install any distribution with proot-distro; the ADL guides assume Ubuntu.
