Coordinate work in your active session.

Agent-Team is a Beads and Git skill for active Codex or Claude sessions. Choose your operating system's bundle on the release page, verify its matching SHA-256 sidecar, then run the included installer. Project Kickoff v0.6.0 is optional. After install, type `$agent-team status` then `$agent-team start` in Codex, or `/agent-team status` then `/agent-team start` in Claude.

Several agents work on separate tasks, review the results, and bring accepted changes together.

Beads tasks to accepted changes.

Beads holds live task state and Git holds revisions. Agent-Team selects ready work, prepares separate worktrees, sends changes through independent review, and returns findings for repair before integration.

Agent-Team 9.0.0 workflow: Beads, Choose, Build, Review, Integrate, ContinueBeads: approve setup if needed and keep task state. Choose ready work. Build in separate worktrees. Review changes and repair findings. Integrate accepted changes. Continue by pausing or resuming in an active session; workers do not persist across host sessions.BeadsChooseBuildReviewIntegrateContinuesetup with approvalready workseparate worktreesreview and repairaccepted changespause or resumeReview findings return to the developer for repair

Setup asks for approval before initializing Beads when needed. Integration follows a clean review; it does not publish code.

BEADS

One task tracker

Beads holds task status, dependencies, and progress. Agent-Team does not add a second live task database.

REVIEW

Review before integration

A separate reviewer checks the actual changes. Findings go back to the developer for repair and review again.

GIT

Changes stay in Git

Each assignment uses a separate worktree. Integrate only accepted changes and preserve uncertain work.

Keep coordination in the project.

Use Agent-Team for bounded work that benefits from separate changes and review. It reads Beads and Git to help you see assignments, review results, and choose what to do next.

Pause and resume

Use `$agent-team pause` or `/agent-team pause` to stop new assignments and ask observable workers to checkpoint. Later, use `$agent-team resume` or `/agent-team resume` to inspect Beads and Git and preserve dirty or uncertain work. Workers do not persist after the host session ends.

A local dashboard snapshot

After accepted integration and Beads closure, Agent-Team can refresh `.agent-team/dashboard/index.html`. It is a local static snapshot, not a service or task authority.

Planning is optional

Project Kickoff v0.6.0 is a separate planning skill for creating a plan or preparing tasks. You do not need it to use Agent-Team.

Use the skill in your active host.

Agent-Team works through the current Codex or Claude session. The Linux Codex worker/reviewer canary passed. Claude status was observed, while Claude worker dispatch and Windows or macOS worker canaries remain unverified.

CODEX

$agent-team status

Inspect Beads status. If Beads is missing, setup asks for approval before initializing it. Use `$agent-team start` to select ready work.

CLAUDE

/agent-team status

Inspect Beads status in Claude Code. Use `/agent-team start` to select ready work. Claude worker dispatch has not been verified.

Install the v9 skill.

Choose the ZIP for your operating system from the v9 release and verify its matching SHA-256 sidecar. Each archive includes its matching installer.

Windows

Download the Windows ZIP and its matching SHA-256 sidecar from the release page, verify and extract it, then run:

.\install.ps1 -TargetHost both
Linux and macOS

Download the Linux or macOS ZIP and matching sidecar from the release page. Verify with sha256sum -c (Linux) or shasum -a 256 -c (macOS), extract the ZIP, then run:

./install.sh both
Open your project and use the skill
Codex: $agent-team status then $agent-team start
Claude: /agent-team status then /agent-team start

Use setup if Beads is not initialized; it asks before creating Beads files. Use start for ready work, status to inspect, or resume to continue safely.

For optional planning, see Project Kickoff v0.6.0. Read the v9 install guide and v8 cutover guide.

Project Kickoff is optional

Agent-Team v9 works directly with Beads and Git; Project Kickoff v0.6.0 is a separate, optional planning skill.
